In this article, I will share with you five questions you must answer on your website.
There are certain questions that all coaching websites need to answer to be an effective marketing tool.
Having a beautifully designed website is not enough. A website needs to have the right content to convert visitors to clients.
When clients are looking for a coach or therapist, they want to have the following questions answered:
- Who are you?
- Who do you help?
- What do you help them with?
- Can you do what you say you can do?
- Why should they choose you as their therapist or coach?
The answers to these questions should demonstrate that your service is for them and that you can help them.
If they are confident that you’re the right therapist or coach for them, then they’ll take the next step and reach out to you.
If your website does not answer these questions, then you are likely losing potential clients. Make sure your website content is clear, concise and answers these key questions.
So let’s have a look at those five questions.
Question # 1: Who are you?
When people land on your site, the answer to who you are and what you do should be loud and clear.
Potential clients want to get a feeling about who you are. They need to be able to connect with you and trust you. They need to know that you are credible and qualified.
Talk about your approach, what you stand for and your guiding philosophy. Share why you are doing the work that you are doing.
You can do this by including a brief introduction on your homepage and making sure your branding is consistent throughout your site.
Question # 2: Who do you help?
Not every visitor to your website will be a good match for you. And that is okay. You want to attract those clients to your practice who you’re doing your best work with.
Describe the kind of clients you work with. And this is where your target audience comes in.
Think about the characteristics of your ideal customer. What are their needs? And what are their pain points? What are they looking for in a coach?
Once you have a clear understanding of who your ideal customer is, you can create content that speaks directly to them.
If your target audience is too broad and you are trying to appeal to everyone, then you’ll end up speaking to no-one.
Question # 3: What do you help them with?
Describe what problems and concerns your clients have. List about 4-6 issues so that at least one or two problems will be true for the reader.
Let your readers know what kind of results they can expect if they work with you. List and describe the benefits of your services. Don’t go overboard and provide a long shopping list of problems. People get overwhelmed when they see these long lists. Instead, choose 3-5 of the most common or prominent issues that your clients face.
Question # 4: Can you do what you say you can do?
The best way to demonstrate that you can do what you say you can do is through reviews, testimonials and case studies. Answer this question through the voice of other people.
As a coach, include your qualifications. It’s important you establish your credentials upfront. Your potential clients need to know that you’re qualified to do what you say you can do.
Let people know what they can expect when they work with you. Do you have a step-by-step guide that outlines your process? If so, include it on your site. If not, consider creating one. This will help potential clients understand what they can expect from start to finish.
Question # 5: Why should they choose you as their coach?
You need to give your prospective clients a reason to choose you. This is where you need to give them something that is unique to you. It could be that you work with a specific target audience.
For example, you are a dating coach that specialises in working with single mothers. Or perhaps you’ve gone through a similar experience as your target audience.
When you share why you are different, be sure to explain why this is valuable to your clients.
Answering these questions will help give your website visitors a better understanding of who you are and what you can do for them. And that is the first step in attracting the right clients to your practice.
So make sure that you answer those five questions on your website so that prospective clients will take the next step and reach out to you.
