30 easy ways to promote your lead magnet
As a coach, it is important to have a lead magnet in order to attract potential clients. A lead magnet can be a helpful free resource that provides value and solves a problem for your ideal client.
Once you’ve created your irresistable lead magnet, you are ready to share to share your freebie with the world.
Today I want to share with you 30 ways you can promote your lead magnet:
Promote your lead magnet on your website
1. Create a landing page
The first and most important step is to create a dedicated landing page for your lead magnet. This will make it easy for people to find and sign up for your offer.
2. Write a blog post about it
If you have a blog, write a post about your lead magnet and include a call-to-action (CTA) to download it. Be sure to also share the post on social media.
3. Add it to your website’s sidebar or header
Make it easy for visitors to find your lead magnet by adding it to your website’s sidebar or header. You can also add a CTA to your blog’s posts or pages.
4. Add an opt-in on your home page
Have a segment on your home page showing the lead magnet.
5. Embed an opt-in in a blog post
If you have relevant blog posts that could benefit from your lead magnet, embed the opt-in form directly in the post. For example, if you are a relationship coach for singles, you could write a blog post about dating tips and offer a guide to “Dating after 40” as a lead magnet.
6. Add it to your resource page
If you have a resource page on your website, add your lead magnet to the list of resources. This is a great way to promote it to people who are already interested in what you have to offer.
7. Create a pop-up for it
Pop-ups can be effective for promoting lead magnets (as long as they’re not too intrusive – it’s best to delay the pop-up).
8. Have a bottom sign-up bar on your site
A bottom sign-up bar is a strip that appears at the bottom of your website (usually after someone has scrolled down) with a CTA to sign up for your lead magnet.
9. Place an opt-in for the lead magnet in your footer
Your website’s footer is another great place to promote your lead magnet. Include a CTA and link to your landing page or opt-in form.
10. Use exit-intent pop-ups
Exit-intent pop-ups are triggered when someone goes to leave your website (i.e. they put their cursor in the top right corner of the screen as if they’re going to close the window). This is a last-ditch effort to get them to stay on your site, and it can be effective for promoting lead magnets.
11. Throughout your content, whenever relevant, link to your landing page
If you mention your lead magnet or the topic it covers throughout your website content, be sure to include a link to the landing page. This will make it easy for people to find and sign up for your lead magnet.
