How to promote your coaching practice (without compromising your integrity)

how to promote your coaching or therapy practice with integrity

In this article, I write about how to promote your practice with integrity.

When it comes to promoting your coaching or therapy practice with integrity, you must choose strategies that suit your personality. Because if you don’t, you simply won’t follow through.

There are plenty of self-promotion strategies. There is something for everyone.

For example, there is:

  • Word-of-mouth
  • Referrals from other professionals
  • Giving a talk
  • Hosting a meet-up event
  • Presenting a webinar
  • Posting on social media
  • Facebook lives
  • YouTube videos
  • Writing a blog
  • Contributing to articles for online magazines
  • Podcasts
  • Networking
  • Google adverts
  • Other social media ads
  • SEO (Search Engine Optimisation)

However, not everyone enjoys giving a talk, doing Facebook lives or posting photos on Instagram.

The good news is that you don’t have to!

There are plenty of ways to promote your coaching practice that don’t involve you getting in front of the camera and doing endless Facebook lives.

In fact, I would not recommend you to use videos on social media unless you are comfortable with it and WANT to do it.

Think about how do you like to connect with people?

Are you a group person? Or are you better one-to-one? Maybe you great at expressing yourself in writing?

Or perhaps you want to get some help with writing a Google ad and promote your practice in that way.

There are plenty of ways to promote your coaching or therapy practice with integrity. Choose those ways that suit your personality.

If you do that, then you’ll follow through with going out there and speaking about your offering.

If you are trying to do any form of self-promotion that runs against your personality, then it’s likely that you won’t stick with it.

Coaches have been around for much longer than social media. People used to get clients without the use of social media (and they still do).

So, think about what works for you and then use that channel to promote your practice.

For example, if you enjoy writing, then consider starting a blog. This is a great way to share your knowledge and help others who may be struggling with similar issues. When coming up with blog ideas, make sure to write about topics that you are passionate about. This will make the writing process much easier and more enjoyable. Additionally, be sure to choose a catchy title that accurately reflects the content of your article.

And if you feel you are still stuck, maybe you want to consider a Laser Coaching session.
